I was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, where I lived until I was 35. I then moved to Austin, Texas to help care for my mother. After 6 years in Austin, I moved to Portland and started working at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation in the kitchen as a cook where I stayed for 1-and-a-half years.

I moved up to the receptionist desk as the full time Front Desk Manager and have been there for over 6 years. I love my job because I am able to meet and spend time with our residents and their families. I have really become close to some!

The residents and my fellow employees are like a second family to me. Holidays, birthdays and all special occasions are very special to me because we decorate the community and share these special times together.

When not working, I enjoy making jewelry, writing poetry, and spending time at the coast. It can be sunny or rainy; I still enjoy time by the ocean to relax.
